Oppo’s mid range segment devices now getting Android 15 treat. Earlier today Oppo started rolling out Android 15 update under ColorOS 15 skin for Oppo A3, A3 Pro and K12x in India. Just like other OEM’s the update will be rolled out in a stages and broader rollout will happen in the coming days. The update is rolling out at the time we are writing this post.
Talking about the firmware, the update comes under redesigned ColorOS 15 skin which teams up with December 2024 security patches along with a bunch of under the hood improvements and stability fixes. The current build number of the update is not yet known but Oppo mentioned on their official website that each device should be running on the following builds to receive OTA or manual update.
Before you install Android 15 ColorOS 15 update on Oppo A3, A3 Pro and K12x make sure your device running on these software versions!
>> Oppo A3 should be running software version CPH2693_14.0.1.1106(EX01) or CPH2693_14.0.1.1103(EX01) or the CPH2693_14.0.1.1101(EX01)
>> Oppo A3 Pro should be on software version CPH2667_14.0.1.735(EX01) or CPH2667_14.0.1.1201(EX01)
>> Oppo K12x should be on software version CPH2667_14.0.1.736(EX01) or CPH2667_14.0.1.1201(EX01).
If you think your device is running on one of the following firmware, then you are all set to go. The all three Oppo’s comes with running Android 14 out of the box later got multiple security updates and now the company pushed out its first major software update, which upgrades the device’s firmware to Android 15.
Being a major firmware update You can expect a bunch of new features with the latest ColorOS 15 update including new clock widgets, redesigned battery charging animation, embedded AI features, new app icons, themes, lock screen customization and more. So excited about the update?
Now it’s the time to head towards Settings >> Software version >> check for the new system updates.
