Vivo continues to strengthen its software update roadmap with the rollout of Android 15 for the Vivo V40 Pro in India, now accompanied by the January 2025 Android security patch. The update arrives via Funtouch OS 15, integrating the latest security enhancements alongside performance optimizations, refined system stability, and a suite of user-centric upgrades. This release underscores Vivo’s commitment to delivering timely firmware updates, particularly for its premium-tier devices.

Marking another milestone, Vivo remains one of the earliest manufacturers to deploy the stable Android 15 update across its portfolio. Following the rollout for its flagship X series, the V40 Pro now joins the list of devices running the latest OS. Users are advised to connect to a stable Wi-Fi network before initiating the download to ensure a seamless installation process.

Originally launched with Android 14, the Vivo V40 Pro’s transition to Android 15 represents its first major OS upgrade since release. The company’s proactive approach places it ahead of numerous competitors still testing or staging their Android 15 deployments. This update not only elevates the device’s software foundation but also introduces new functionalities tailored to enhance productivity, security, and user experience.

Funtouch OS 15 brings a refreshed interface, smarter AI-driven features, and deeper customization options, all designed to leverage Android 15’s capabilities. Early adopters have reported smoother multitasking, improved battery management, and enhanced privacy controls. While an official changelog is yet to be published, screenshots shared by users on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) highlight notable additions such as redesigned quick settings, advanced camera optimizations, and granular app permission settings.
