Vivo started seeding Android 15 to Vivo V40 units across India.

The chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo started rolling out Android 15 update for the Vivo V40 units in India. The update comes under FunTouch OS 15 skin and teamed up with November 2024 security patches along with a bunch of under the hood improvements and stability fixes.

Vivo has become the first company to roll out stable Android 15 OS for it’s devices. Earlier the premium X series got updated to the latest firmware and now Vivo V40 joins the party. Talking about the firmware, it carries software version PD2363F_EX_A_15.1.6.11.W30 and weighs in around 2.65GB.

The Vivo V40 originally ships with Android 14 out of the box, and now the company is rolling out its first major software update, which upgrades the device’s firmware to Android 15. Vivo has done an excellent job, staying ahead of many other manufacturers who are still working on delivering the Android 15 update.

Since it’s a major firmware update so you can expect a bunch of new features with FuntouchOS 15 update. The screenshot posted below shows the detailed list of new features coming with this update. Screenshot posted by Viral Patel on X.

Well the update is rolling out in stages currently it has landed in India and other regions will get the update in a few days to weeks. If you own a Vivo V40 and running Android 14 OS then it’s the time to head towards Setting >> Software version >> check for the new system updates.
