Finally Motorola has started rolling out Android 15 stable update for 2023 flip flagship Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. It’s interesting to note that the 2023 device is getting the update even before it’s successor the Razr 50 Ultra 2024, but we hope to see Android 15 for Razr 50 Ultra anytime soon.
Motorola has already seeded the Android 15 update to Edge 50 series including, Edge 50 Neo and Edge 50 Pro., followed by Mid rangers and budget series devices. Now the fold-able flagships are up to join the Android 15 party.
Talking about the Android 15 update for Razr 40 Ultra, the update is rolling out globally carrying software version V1TZ35H.41-21-3, that further brings December 2024 security patches and needless to say, the update is bundled with a whole bunch of new features, goodies of Android 15 and under the hood enhancements.
A Reddit user with a Motorola Razr 40 Ultra has shared screenshots of the update illustrating the Android 15 update features. The update weighs in around 2GB and starting from India the update is available for all users across the globe regardless of their participation in the Motorola Feedback Network. Given the size of update it’s better to download it via WiFi or good volume data package.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra came with Android 13 running out of the box and this the second major firmware update released by the company. If you own any of the aforementioned device give it a try to manually grab the update if available. Head towards Settings >> System >> Tap System updates.
