Android 15 released for Sony Xperia 1 V!

Japanese manufacturer Sony has just started seeding Android 15 stable firmware update for Sony Xperia 1 V units in Europe. The update is live via OTA and carries software version 67.2.A.2.41 and weighs in around 1.1GB, further teamed up with latest December 2024 security patches and goodies of Android 15.

The Android 15 update for Xperia 1 V is live in the major European countries and more regions will be getting it in a wider spectrum soon. The screenshots of the update are shared on Reddit, you can see brief list of changes in the new update and also the Sony United Kingdom has confirmed the news.

Sony Xperia 1 V Android 15 67.2.A.2.41 update comes with enhancements like change screen resolution, and better Screen Contrast option, improved Earthquake alert system, Partial Screen Sharing and more. The Sony Xperia 1 V came with Android 13 running out of the box later got updated to Android 14 last year and now this another major firmware update released by the company.

If you own any of the aforementioned device give it a try to manually grab the update if available. Head towards Settings >> System >> Tap System updates. Given the size of update it’s better to download it via WiFi or good volume data package. The official updates never erase of restores the device but it is recommended to make a secure backup of your device before heading towards the update process.
