Motorola recently rolled out the Android 15 update for its foldable flagship, the Razr 40 Ultra, just a week ago. Now it’s mid range counterpart the Razr 40 has begun receiving the update. While the 2023 Razr series is already getting latest firmware, it raises questions about why the 2024 flagship Razr 50 Ultra remains conspicuously absent from the update list. Well, we hope Razr 50 series gets its turn sooner rather than later.
Motorola remained firm regarding Android 15 delivery, the company has already seeded the Android 15 update to Edge 50 series including, Edge 50 Neo and Edge 50 Pro., followed by Mid rangers and budget series devices. Now the fold-able flagships are up to join the Android 15 party. At the time of writing, the update is live and will be available globally in a matter of time.
Talking about the Android 15 update for Razr 40, the update is rolling out in Europe carrying software version V1TH35H.41-24-6 that further brings December 2024 security patches and needless to say, the update is bundled with a whole bunch of new features, goodies of Android 15 and under the hood enhancements. The update weighs over 2GB.
The update is currently live in Europe and soon it will be available for all users across the globe regardless of their participation in the Motorola Feedback Network. Given the size of update it’s better to download it via WiFi or good volume data package.
